Stamped Bauble by Sharon Noble
Today we are sharing a fun festive project by Sharon Noble. Sharon shares with us the steps on how to create a stamped bauble project featuring on of the flower stamps from the Through Frosted Glass collection. What about creating your own version? Mix up the design by using floral stamps from different seasons and maybe even some Fleurs flowers!
You will need:
Stamps – Through Frosted Glass
Versafine Ink
Alcohol Marker
Wooden Bauble Shape
Ribbon
Floral Embellishments
- Choose your stamp and wooden shape to stamp on. This is the Two Red Robins Christmas stamp from Through Frosted Glass collection. I use versa fine as my ink pad of choice.
- Stamp as you desire till you have filled your bauble. Don’t be afraid to experiment with over the edge stamping, it will create a more organic look.
- Keep stamping till you’ve covered the space. Make your pattern yours, it doesn’t have to be symmetrical, after all nature likes to be random.
- Turn the project over and cover the other side too. Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to match the flip side.
- Now for the fun, let’s start bringing the flowers too life with colouring. I used Ink Lily alcohol markers in two red tones and a grey blue. Again, repeat the colouring on the reverse.
- Now take the embellishments you want to dress your bauble with, then start to decorate your project.
- Experiment with different products, arrangements, and embellishments until you get the look you want to achieve.
- Once you are happy, proceed by affixing your embellishments directly to the shape.
- Ooh, Let’s add a little ribbon! Everyone loves a little bit of decorative ribbon right? You know you have a little in your stash… go on admit it.
- Continue to add embellishments, such as berries. Doesn’t it look pretty! Add a little more foliage. Add some cord, or more ribbon as a hanger.
- Then, voila; one bauble As individual as you are!
