Have you seen our Weekend Wonder?
We’re bringing you an amazing weekend deal on 5 of our stunning collections, and I thought what better time to show you some of the beautiful projects you can make.
First, I used a selection of dies in this timelapse video:
Dies used:
- Autumn Equinox: Look Out Point, Orson, Otis & Evie, Celest, Blossoming Buds
- Small World: Humble Abode, Bobby, We Wheat Again
- Pretty Bloomers: Hosta, Above Water
And if you want to follow along, I’ve also created this beautiful card with step by steps:
- 1. Select the element for the upright section of your scene card. I am using the brick wall from Come On In.
- 2. Next, layer the brick and door from Come On In, lifting each layer on 1mm foam.
- 3. On to plain white copy paper, draw a line across horizontally. This will act as your guide to ground your card design.
- 4. Being building your scene. It’s always a good idea to have a lot of die cuts ready, and to lay out your design before you stick. To ground the design, score along the die cut using the pencil line as a guide.
- 5. Start adding in your foliage around your pond, again scoring wherever the die cuts dip below your guide line.
- 6. Start adding your story elements. Here I have added the crate from Rustic Store lined from snipped away elements from Above Water as a nest for the duck.
- 7. Continue adding your story elements. Remembering to score where needed and gluing your elements at different depths to add to your foreground and midground.
- 8. To the reverse add a folded section of construction acetate as a stand. Align these with the bottom of your card for added support, stick using red line tape.
- 9. Take a look at your card and add in more foliage if/where needed.
- 10. Consider making a box for this type of card to keep it safe while posting.
Dies used:
- Morning Delights: Come On In
- Pretty Bloomers: Lily Lagoon, Welcome To The Flock, Hosta, Floating Blooms, Floating Blooms, Above Water, It’s Another Sign, A Little Army, A Fleet
- Morning Delights: Rustic Store
