Christmas Easel Card by Kath W
Hello crafters! Today I’m sharing a tutorial for a Christmas easel card that I created using the Two Red Robins Hoppy Christmas collection.
You will need:
- TRR Hoppy Christmas collection printed artwork scene 05
- From the coordinating MCS download Textures 14 and 15
- MCS TRR Crimson Noel die collection and reflections
- White A4 card stock
- Nesting circle dies
- Glue/ glue gel/ foam pads
- Scoreboard
- Guillotine
- Scissors
- Low tack tape
- Die-cutting machine
- Step 1 Print all the artwork.
- Step 2 Die cut all the reflections from the Hoppy Christmas and Crimson Noel artwork.
- Step 3 Fold and score A4 white card stock in half (tent fold) place the largest of your circle die over the top, tape in place with low tack tape, cut out using die cutting machine. Using the same die, cut an extra circle.
- Step 4 Score and fold the top half of the card to create the easel shape.
- Step 5 Attach the extra circle die cut using glue (add only to the bottom part).
- Step 6 Using smaller circle dies (decreasing in size) cut the mat and layers out from the patterned card and also for the main scene (cut 2 of each).
- Step 7 Attach foam pads to the dark blue circle, and attach centrally to the card front, glue the pale blue circle on top of this, and finally the scene.
- Step 8 Repeat the above steps (without using foam pads as the bottom layers needs to lie flat). You will need to trim these at the top to fit the base of the card.
- Step 9 Choose a Christmas sentiment of your choice, mount onto dark blue pattern paper, attach foam pads to the back, and stick on the base of the easel card for the stopper.
- Step 10 Attach the florals and characters to the scene, using glue gel or foam pads, add glitter and your easel card is complete!
