“Hi, My name is Grit. I live in Thalheim – Germany.
I discovered TRR on Pinterest in June last year. I saw such great card examples there and thought “What great cards.” My first dies were from the collection “The little Potting Club”. Beautiful. Then I ordered “Christmas Eve”. I especially love the dies, although I have to say that I can’t really decide which are my favourites. The dies are all beautiful and so detailed. I love them all. I wish TRR continued success and such great ideas. I am glad that delivery is also possible to Germany. You don’t get these detailed dies in Germany.

“Hi, my name is Louise Patten, I am a Creative Assistant at HC. I have always crafted in one shape or another and my journey with HC began in 2021 when I was made redundant and so I turned to craft to keep me going especially with all the beautiful TRR collections!! At the end of 2021 I saw a callout for DT members on the TRR fb page, I was unsure whether to apply or not, but my partner said I had nothing to lose, so I did! To my surprise and elation, I was accepted!! So in the beginning of 2022 I started making samples in-between working at vaccination centres. The support and friendship from everyone at HC was amazing. In the middle of 2022, I was once again made redundant, my health deteriorated so craft became everything to me to help me get through. In august of 2022 I was stunned and honoured to be asked to join the team permanently to help with the TL magazine and make samples!!! So now due to how far away I live and my health conditions, I work from home doing my dream job with an amazing, inspirational, and supportive team with amazing products and education. I just want to say, Thank you so much for giving me this fantastic opportunity, and for all of your support. Dreams really do come true!! “I joined Highlight Crafts/Two Red Robins team right back at the beginning. I helped in the office, behind the scenes for the first month or so helping with the samples for TV, and testing the USB’s on the Scan n Cut. I have been on the My Craft Studio DT from nearly the beginning, so this was a natural progression for me. Knowing Stephanie’s and the graphic teams amazing designs, how could I say no to working with such fabulous artwork.
Then I moved to Greece so just focused on doing the digital side from afar, and sharing my DT makes across the socials. I design for the digi stamp and scene building USB’s, and also the SVG USB’s. Sadly the post to my small island isn’t the best so I only do the dies when I’m in England.
When there is a Crafting Live show I come to England and help out with the prep for the shows, for the workshops, and make and takes. And also help with any samples needed for TV shows. I just love being part of the team, it really is a crafty family, and such a happy and inspiring team to be a part of. And I look forward to seeing what the future brings. “I remember watching on Create & Craft when the first Two Red Robins collection was released. I remember being captivated by how different this was, the nesting dies in the shape of buckets & fence posts? Who would have thought that would ever be a thing! I was fortunate to grow up in a rural village so I am a real wildlife lover, I love animals and have many happy memories, of seeing different wildlife in their natural habitats. So the storytelling through nature just really spoke to me. Over the next 12 months my collection of Two Red Robins dies grew, I must hold my hands up though, I would often be scouring for sales and discounts!!! I was then lucky enough to be approached by Diane at Highlight asking if I would be interested in doing some MCS samples for them. I jumped at the chance! I got to do Two Red Robins Scene Building USBs and must have done something right as I was then was offered the chance to be on the Design Team for Two Red Robins.
I love creating with all the new dies, I am like a small child in a sweet shop when my dies arrive in the post. It is a wonderful challenge to have to create with a limited number of dies, when you generally create you have full access to all your crafty stash but on the Design Team you get to create stories with a select group of dies.
We always talk about the Two Red Robins journey, but being part of that journey has created my own journey. The opportunities given to me by all at Highlight Crafts has meant a lot to me. They are such an incredibly talented group of individuals and truly lovely alongside this. Being part of the Two Red Robins journey has helped me grow so much as a person, I have been able to unlock my creativity that had been shut away for a long time, being on the Design Team means that hopefully I can now encourage others to craft, just like when I started watching the very first Two Red Robins show. Thank you to all the Highlight Crafts family, thank you for allowing me the privilege of creating samples with your beautiful products, you all are truly inspirational people, and have certainly inspired me.
