The Mystery Of The Missing Acorn Card – by Kath Westwood
Hello crafters I hope you are all safe well…I today I would like to share with you a little tutorial using TRR Mystery Of The Missing Acorn collection … I love this collection (I love them all I say the same thing about every collection lol ) I just get lost in a magical world along with these naughty little characters who are up to mischief I had so much fun! The “who did it” theme makes me chuckle! Who stole an acorn or something far more valuable? I think it was Merlin or maybe it was Millie who knows!! It could be that little mouse……🤔 I guess we might never know.
Replicate my card design or just do your own design it’s your choice just have fun and you will see how easy it is to create beautiful story design cards with this collection bring in other collections that you have collected too, I hope that you enjoy my little tutorial!

You will need :
TRR The Mystery Of The Missing Acorn collection dies and reflections
White card stock
Glue
3D glue gel
Foam pads
Scissors
Die cutting machine
Score board
- Start by cutting three large nested acorn reflections and matching card blanks (I use white) for the back of the card.
- Layer them using 3D glue gel or foam pads so that they are staggered this gives depth to the card.
- Print, cut and add the matching artwork on top of the white cuts.
- Cut one of the hiding place reflections and cut out the centre fill with jewels.
- Then fill till the jewels are over flowing lol!
- Before decorating the card, cut another large acorn to use to make the card stand, score along the top – making sure it stands straight and doesn’t wobble before you glue it in place. I stand my cards in front of me on the work table you can always trim a little off the bottom if it isn’t level as I have done.
- Now attach on your florals and characters. Just have fun decorating the acorns with the reflections of your choice! You can decoupage your characters too!
