8×8 card stock, mat and layers and patterned paper. Cut to fit card. Don’t stick yet.
Cut largest box shape with the slit cut into it.
Place box where you want on the patterned card and then tape the slider mechanism on, level with the top of the box. Cut out and keep the cut out piece for later.
Cut piece of card slightly wider than the slider hole and long enough to poke out the top so can be pulled.
Using small piece of acetate and red liner tape, attach the Wibblers to bottom of the lid.
Make up the slider mechanism and attach to the patterned card, placing the saved cut onto the mechanism, matching up the pattern.
Using 3D foam tape/pads attach the patterned card to the card, ensuring there is foam tape either side of the mechanism for support but still allowing it to move.
To attach the box to the card, use 3D foam tape at the front bottom edge of the box, enough to raise it so the Wibblers can move within it, however the back top of the box must be glued flat to the card so that it doesn’t interfere with the Wibblers. This gives the box dimension. Place the box so it aligns with the slot.
Push the slider to its lowest point then tuck the Wibblers inside the box until the lid fits, you may need to trim their legs a little. Once lid and Wibblers fit as desired, ensuring their legs or body remain in the box when lifted to maximum, make a small mark on the mechanism where the top of the lid is.
Move the slider up and using red liner tape attach the lid where the mark is.
Decorate as desired but ensuring anything near the mechanism is glued totally flat so as not to interfere with it.
I look forward to seeing you versions of this! Why not mix and match with different collections to give yourself a whole range of different card designs to work throughout the year?!
