Robin’s Blog Post

2024 is a very exciting year for Two Red Robins and us, the Team at Highlight Crafts. I wanted to use this blog post to share a little bit of the behind-the-scenes preparation for our birthday taking place January 14th, it’s actually two years since we appeared on Hochanda and boy has it gone quickly. Two Red Robins was conceptualised during the 2020 Covid lockdown and came to life at the end on May beginning of June the following year. The heart of the brand is based around good old fashioned values, story telling, nature, nurture, nostalgia and of course being kind.

It wasn’t hard to imagine how easily nature reclaimed its brightness and freedom with humans limited in their movements. So it then wasn’t hard to imagine talking robins and their adventures, well they started out exploring the countryside, no fear of ramblers, or cars while crossing the roads and taking short cuts to visit other animal neighbours, then they ventured into the allotments, more with curiosity and catching up with old friends than anything else and then lockdown was lifted. Humans started putting out food and tending to their outdoor space and the robins started revisiting some of their pre covid favourite gardens. Well now the thing is, covid gave a lot of humans a chance to rethink what they wanted in life, in fact a lot moved out of cities and into the countryside. Shawbrooke where the Robins live actually developed a housing crisis, the animal populations expanded and everyone found a new better way of getting along, so much so that the Robins decided in 2024 to give us (the humans) a Sneaky Peck, oops mean Peek into their world.
