Quick and easy Aperture Card how to! By Kath Westwood
Hello Crafters,
Today I would like to share with you a card tutorial for aperture card that looks dimensional but is totally flat for posting and very quick to make! I have made the patterned papers and scenes in this design using My Craft Studio Watercolour Scene Builder, launching on Create & Craft Tuesday 14th May.
For this project you will need:
An A5 white card base
A5 paper design of your choice
A5 coordinating card stock
2x Two Red Robins Fundamental nested oval dies
Glue
- Step 1 Start by cutting down to size the patterned paper to fit on top of the coloured card stock (mine is pink) so that there is a small border do not glue yet.
- Step 2 Take the smallest die from your chosen 2 and tape in place over your design, run through your die cutting machine to cut out save this piece.
- Step 3. Now take the larger die and place back over your printed design tape in place and cut out again to make the aperture larger.
- Step 4. Take your A5 card base glue the coloured card stock on top followed by the patterned piece then glue the aperture piece back in the centre you are now left with a totally flat card ! I hope you enjoy my tutorial for this really easy quick card
- The finished card design.
