Painted flowers – a step further!
If you enjoyed my post last week about painting loose watercolour flowers I wanted to let you know I got brave and finally decided to take a fine liner pen to my paintings and add some creative doodles! Mel & Lou have been trying to convince me for so long that I should try to do some more relaxed crafting rather than my usual formulaic approach.
Doing these watercolour flowers has helped me learn how relaxing this kind of creativity can be and I really enjoyed adding some finer detail to me blooms – I hope you do too!
Here’s what I used:
Fine Liner Pens

- Add 5 dots each of two colours of paint in a circular area for the centre of your flower. Don’t worry f your dots bleed together, this just adds to the finish of your flower.

- Use clean water to pull two of the dots together to create a petal, you will see the colours blend and each petal will be completely unique!

- Continue to create the petals of your flower, fill any gaps with additional dots of colours

- Allow your flower to dry completely before adding your doodling.

- DDoodle on your flowers that don’t quite go to plan to give them a creative finish.

- Use contrasting or complimentary coloured pens to doodle on your flowers for variety of finishes.
