Learn a Fun Aperture Fold with Kath
Hello crafters I hope you are all well!
Today I have a fun card tutorial for you using ITS beyond the bay collection I am so looking forward to warmer weather and this card really reminds me of lazy summer days on the beach.
You will need
ITS beyond the bay die collection
A3 white card stock
Construction Acetate
Scenes from the artwork
Glue /glue gel
Tape foam pads
Red liner tape
Scoreboard
Pencil
Guillotine
- Take an A3 white sheet of card stock cut it down to make your card into 7”x 15.5” score length ways at 5” 6” 7” and 12” (fold as in photo below) cut another piece of card stock measuring 7“ x 5” score 1” along the top attach to back of main card this will help it stand. Cut some silver cardstock down to 6.3/4”x 4 3/4” (cut 2) and a piece 3/4”x 6.5” for the bottom. Use a small amount of glue and attach one scene to the silver mat place the driftwood frame over the top decide where you would like the aperture to be then using the middle die from the driftwood frame tape in place remove the driftwood die cut and cut out the aperture
- From your scene cut 2 images exactly the same down to 6.5” x 4.5” and a piece cut from the sand coloured texture Paper to 6.5” x3” step 5
- Use a small amount of glue and attach one scene to the silver mat place the driftwood frame over the top decide where you would like the aperture to be then using the middle die from the driftwood frame tape in place remove the driftwood die cut and cut out the aperture
- Place the scene over the main card front and draw around the aperture with a pencil tape the die in place cut out the centre
- Attached the other mat and layers one to the inside and one on the bottom using foam pads etc decorate your card with die cuts from beyond the bay collection using acetate folded square’s for the front images you do this by cutting strips of acetate scoring equal increments folding them and attaching strong tape to one side fold into squares attach on your card using strong tape again then add your die cuts as in photo or just have fun doing your own designs
I hope you try this card design it is very easy and so much fun to make crafty hugs from Kath W 😊
