How to make a card with an acetate base – by Carley Duff
- Step 1 Take your construction acetate and cut to 4 3/4 x 8. 1/4 using a guillotine. To score and the actetae, use a score board and a pokey tool. Run the pokey tool at a shallow to the centre to make a tent fold style base.
- You die cut reflections, cut a few layers to give you options.
- Step 2 Die cut 3 wreaths from the reflection artwork. Cut one of the wreaths in half and add to both edges of the front of the acetate card base with red liner tape.
- Step 3 Add full wreath to centre of the actetate base, using foam tape to lift.
- Step 4 Decoupage layers to build blooms and bottom of wreath, using foam to pop. Don’t forhget to shape the flowers to add texture!
- Step 5 Die cut and decoupage your goose and tuck her in centrally to the bottom of the wreath so she looks like she is sitting in it.
- Step 6 Add additional decoupage layers of flowers around the goose.
- Step 7 Cut foundation circles for sentiment and mat and layer these with coordinating card stock.
- Step 8 Tuck the sentiment in to the bottom right of the wreath.
