How to make a layered floral card – by Carley Duff
Hello again Crafters – I have another project to share with you! Bill and Malorey are such cute characters!
This time I am using:
Two Red Robins By The Pond die collection
Craft Master Ditsy Oval nested die set
White Card Stock
Coloured Card Stock
Red Liner Tape
White Glue
Foam Tape
KitNCaboodle Pro Cut Machine
- Step 1 To create your base base, cut a tent fold card measuring 3×4 1/2 inches. Next use the Craft Master Ditsy Scallops Oval dies to make your topper and frames. Cut the same size oval in pink and white cardstock. Cut a smaller oval to the centre of the white oval making your frame.
- Step 2 Stick the white white frame to the pink oval base using either white glue or red liner tape and then stick both of these to your card base using foam tape.
- Step 3 Die cut your reflection artwork, cutting a few of the ivy and cherrys. Cascade these down one side of your oval base. Don’t forget, you can snip in to the die cuts to make the your own.
- Step 4 Cut your floral designs and snip away the stalks. Layer the blooms to create decoupage layers and lift.
- Step 5 Layer the flowers over ivy to fill out the half wreath design.
- Step 6 Using reflection artwork, die cut Bill and Mallory – you can cut a few if you would like these characters decoupaged. Use foam to build up the card.
- Step 7 Die cut a sentiment mat and layer using small ditsy nested oval die. Cut this from the same white and coloured cardstock as your base.
- Step 8 Snuggle your characters amongst the flowers and add in the sentimentm, again using foam to add these to your card.
