How To Create A Flat Folding Stepper Card
Hello, I wanted to share with you how to create a flat folding stepper card. For this project I am using the Cherry Blossom Rise die collection and I love the scenes you can build with this set.
For this project you will need;
In The Studio Cherry Blossom Rise Die collection
In The Studio Cherry Blossom Rise Scene (011)
Two 6 x 6 card blanks
One A6 card blank
Black card stock
Glue
Glue Gel
Scissors
Scoreboard
Double sided tape
- Step 1 Take the two 6 x 6 card blanks glue them together as shown in the picture
- Step 2 Take your A6 card blank and score each side at 1 inch Glue along one side and attach to the front of the main card making sure that the edges are level this is now the card shape you will be working on.
- Step 3 Cut your black card as follows 2 at 5.3/4” x 5.3/4” 1 at 4.3/4”x 5.3/4” 2 at 2.3/4”x 5.3/4” 2 at 3/4” x 5.3/4” Attach these to the card using glue or finger lift tape you can use foam pad for height if you are not posting your card
- Step 4 Cut your scene papers down to size as follows 2 at 5 1//2” x 5 1/2” 1 at 4.1/2” x 5 1/2” 2 at 2 1/2” x 5 1/2” 2 at 1/2” x 5 1/2” glue on top of each of the black panels.
- Step 5 Print your reflections and Die Cut them out ready to decorate your card attach each piece (as in photo below ) to your card with a small amount of glue gel making sure that your card closes when flat add a sentiment (mine was made using MCS) and measures 1 3/4” x 1 3/4”allow to dry .
- To fold your card flat simply fold the A6 card at the front inward and close the 6×6 on top an there you have a really simple stepper card that folds flat
I hope you like my tutorial and we would love to see your version of this card so please don’t forget to share it in our Facebook Group crafty hugs from Kath W
