Hillside Hideaway Frame
- Step 1 Cut your backing paper to 6 ¾ x 10 ¼” and then use the Along The Hills die set to cut four scenes measuring 6” across.
- Step 2 Stick the scenes centrally to the background using 1mm foam tape. Layer the scenes from the background to the foreground.
- Step 3 Create a 3D frame, for this project I am using the ¾”. Trim two sides of the frame to 7 ½”, leaving the other two at full length and stick the frame together using Pinflair Bookbinding Glue.
- Step 4 Stick the Frame to the scene, position and secure using red line tape. The scenes should nestle in to the frame aperture.
- Step 5 Begin adding your die cuts, working from the front backwards. Add your larger die cuts to the front working back to the smaller in the background to create perspective.
- Step 6 Add your cottages – don’t forget other house die cuts can be used too!
- Step 7 Begin adding your floral embellishments to your frame. Lay them out first to make sure you are happy with the design before sticking.
- Step 8 Shape your flowers and leaves and once you are happy with the layout begin sticking.
- Step 9 Build up the flowers with decoupage layers to add more height.
- Step 10 Add the sign post to the foreground to finish, you could add a personalised sentiment if you wanted.
