Double Easel Card Using In The Studio Bake Off Collection by Kath W
Hello everyone, I recently made an easel card using the beautiful In The Studio Bake Off collection as one of my DT samples, and had some lovely comments on it, so I thought I’d show you how I made it! It’s not as hard as it looks, it’s quite easy.
You will need:
- ITS Bake off die collection and artwork scene 002
- A4 Kraft card
- A4 red card stock
- Gold bow
- Glue Foam pads
- Scoreboard and tool
- Scissors
- Step 1 Using MCS, resize scene 002 to A5 size, copy and paste so there are 2 scenes on one A4 sheet, and print out twice. Step 2 Print the characters reflections and die cut out 2 of each character, stick together to make them sturdy.
- Step 3 Cut A4 Kraft card in half (longways) you will be left with 2 A5 Pieces. Cut 2 more pieces of Kraft card, one at 5 7/8ths”x 8 3/4”. Score length ways at 2” and 4”. And another measuring 5 7/8ths x 11.5” score at 3 3/4 ” and 7.5”.
- Step 4 Use a bone folder to burnish each score line, glue the two pieces together at the bottom to form the first part of the easel card, make sure all the crease lines are burnished well to ensure the card stands correctly.
- Step 5 Add glue to the back of the upper part of the easel and attach one of the A5 piece on top.
- Step 6 Cut red card at 5.5/8” x 8” Cut one of the scenes to 5 3/8” x 7 3/4” glue on-top of red card, add foam pads to the back of the red card and attach to easel.
- Step 7 Cut red card to 5.5/8” x 1 7/8” glue to bottom easel.
- Step 8 Cut away the top of another scene to leave the dresser bottom and the cakes etc.
- Step 9 Attach this to the bottom easel using glue or pads.
- Step 10 Make a stopper by cutting Kraft card the same width as the card x 1” decorate with a red layer if you wish, add foam pads to raise the height, attach to the centre of the bottom of the card (see photos) so the easel parts do not move.
- Step 11 Glue the characters behind the counter, one at the back of the scene and one popping out of the draw (cut an extra draw from another scene add foam pads to the back and place on-top of the mouse, add a gold bow to the left hand side and your easel card is finished!
Have fun crafting everyone! Crafty hugs from Kath x

I just love this, it makes me smile!
