Craft Room Sort Out

Hello my lovely crafty friends and a very Happy New Year to you all,
Have you ever decided to tackle a big job knowing that you will get half way through it and quite possibly regret the decision to start in the first place?
I definitely have and it’s called sorting out my craft room!!!
Anyway, despite having experienced this regret on several occasions over the past 3 decades I decided that I would once again subject myself to the task of getting organised.
I went to announce this to the rest of the household our relatively new Whippet puppy, Mr. Bojangles must have had a feeling of for-boding as this was the response I got!!!
However, I got my extra large roll of bin liners and set off to take on the challenge!!
Within about an hour, I was beginning to feel a little bit like I wish I had turned over and gone back to sleep but after 2 hours I absolutely wished I had!!

I secretly enjoy going through all the drawers and cupboards but I get so distracted with all the goodies that I forgot I owned!!
Needless to say it took more than a day to get everything organised but it was well worth it.
I don’t work tidy at all but being able to put everything away and it having it’s own place is very satisfying although how long it will last for is another story.
I must admit it is a pleasure to open the door everyday and see it all neat and tidy although I am still super messy when I am in the middle of creating.
I think the mess is at its worst when I am designing the Made from the Memory Scanncut projects as I have to make the files from the shapes etc inside the Scanncut and therefore there are lots of tests an trial and errors but if you look closely you will see a couple of new ideas dotted around that will be out really soon. I will let you know when.
If you haven’t tried one of the MFTM projects before it is a great way to really get to grips with your machine and it will also inspire you to have a go yourself.
Well, after all the tidying it’s time to get on with some work and I hope you enjoyed the little insight. I also hope that for my fellow messy crafters it made you feel a bit better knowing that it’s definitely not just you!!!

    Hi Mel ,
Glad to see you back , love your craft room ..
It always takes me at least a week to clean and tidy my craft room ( I am so pleased I can shut the door on it as and when I like ).
And it is always messy again within a week !

I know what you mean I can barely get in my room it’s in dire need of a clear up. I keep talking myself into doing it walk in and walk out again, there’s always tomorrow lol. Too much going on at the moment to devote the time. Mr Bojangles looks gorgeous my dog sits outside and watches until the hoover comes out then she turns into a monster has to kill it no matter what. It’s lovely to see you posting hope your feeling much better xx
