Cheery Card using Distress Oxides and Animals with Attitude!
Hello crafters I have a tutorial for you today to create this lovely bright and cheerful card using In the Studio Animals With Attitude.
For this card you will need
black. White, and Kraft card stock
Animals with attitude collection
In The Studio Soft Star dies
In The Studio Bubble dies
Distress oxide Inks in the colours scattered straw dried marigold,wilted violet broken China,seedless preserve ,and shabby shutters
Blending tools
Water mister
Kitchen roll/ tissue
Die cutting machine
Scissors
Glue gel
Wet glue
Tape
Foam pads
- Start by cutting out all the die cut images, you will need various size of bubbles and stars
- Prepare the distress background onto white card using blending tools for each of the colours do this in random areas, I start with light to dark
- Using a water mister spray water droplets onto your fingers and flick over the distressed background dab with kitchen roll to the droplet areas dry with a heat gun cut out using a rectangle die save the rest to cut stars from.
- Cut matts and layers of black, Kraft and white card stock I do this going up in 1/4” increments or use nesting rectangles dies. Attach matts and layers to a black card base using foam pads and finger lift tape to give various height to the card. cut the stars using 3 sizes of dies glue the distress patterned star on top of the larger black stars then cut the centre out using the smallest die. Glue the stars to the edge of the card front cut off the excess that is hanging over, attach the bubbles,florals and the mice ( see photo) using glue gel
