Celebrating National Scrapbooking Day

We all have our comfort crafts – the ones we turn to time and time again for a little escape and relaxation. For me it’s scrapbooking. I love the idea of creating art out of memories, savouring special moments and honouring the everyday. I thought I would share a few of my pages that feature Two Red Robins collections as well as Craft Master papers in celebration on National Scrapbook Day. Scrapbooking follows the same rules as card making, creating a story and a flow through the design. The ideas of balance of the layers and composition. Colours can link to the story, or invoke emotions tied to the memory – the titles used frame the story and I always like to sneak the date of the memory in to the design as another layer of detail. Scrapbooking is my escape and I am looking forward to the future when I can share these pages (and others!) with my children and reminisce!

I have a couple of scrapbook online classes available on the Highlight Crafts Academy, alongside card making classes, SVG classes and painting classes by my fabulous colleagues – you can view the full online workshop line up here.
As it’s currently May Bank Holiday here in the UK we have incredible deals on the Craft Master papers, check them out here.
