Amber is our new Star Baker!

My love for baking started at a young age, when I used to bake with my grandma, it’s always stuck with me!

Before starting work at Highlight Crafts last year I used to work in a bakery. I mainly did the serving but when we had any catering I always got myself involved in the baking area. Still now, I bake when I can, usually at the weekends. I bake for friends, family and of course myself!

I love to test new recipes out as I’ve recently just done over the festive season, baking my very own yule log, a wonderful light chocolate sponge cake, rolled up with whipped double cream covered in rich chocolate icing that I added texture to with a fork and finished with a dusting of icing sugar.

Everyone said it was absolutely delicious and went down an absolute treat!
