A Fun Shaped Christmas Card by Kath W
Hello crafters!
Christmas will soon be here again! Today I’m sharing this fun shaped Christmas card!
You will need:
- Scene 12 from Two Red Robins Hoppy Christmas artwork
- A4 white card
- TRR Hoppy Christmas Mice Tidings We Bring die & reflections
- TRR Crimson Noel Winter Fresh & Crimson Christmas dies and reflections
- TRR Snowflakes and Songbooks The Twinkle Tails & Tiny Tidings dies and reflections
- Glue / Glue gel
- Foam pads
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Score board
- Step 1 Start by reducing Scene 12 to A5 landscape in My Craft Studio, soften the edges by 40% (rectangle) copy and paste, you will only need one scene, you can use the other to make a duplicate card, or use on a different project.
- Step 2 Die-cut all the reflections shown in the photo. Cut the outer layers needed from white card stock.
- Step 3 Place the arch outer-die from (Mice Tidings We Bring) onto the middle of the scene. Draw around the outer edge with a pencil, draw a straight line across the bottom, and cut-out with scissors.
- Step 4 Glue the scene to the back of the arch. Take the white die-cut pieces, and design the composition, start by laying them all out on a straight edge (ie edge of desk) and place the reflections on top. When happy with the look, carefully remove the reflection pieces. Glue the white layers in place using wet glue.
- Step 5 Cut the stems off the poinsettias, I also cut some of the leaves too, shape with your fingers, add glue gel to the back of each piece, and attach to the card base.
- Step 6 Attach foam pads to the back of the arch, and add to the card base.
- Followed by the other reflections (use glue gel for these).
- Step 7 Cut a piece of white card to approximately 6 x 3.5” score along top of the long side at 1/2”, glue to back of card base for the stand.
- Step 8 Add glitter or faux snow, and your card is finished!
Happy crafting from Kath W! 😊
