Experimenting with handmade paper techniques

Making paper has been something that I’ve wanted to do for a very long time. I experimented with it many years ago and learnt all the basics but think there’s so much more to it now, especially with all the modern materials that lend themselves to being recycled.

Chatting with Amanda in the office we found that we both shared the same excitement about building a stash of handmade papers that we could then use with our journaling so last weekend we took the opportunity while everyone else was out of the office except of course Mel and the lovely customer she was doing a one-to-one with in the Academy, to explore all the different, well not all, we ran out of time! but as many different finishes as we could. It’s been so successful we are definitely including it in our festival called Country Kitch. This is undoubtedly a case where a picture paints a 1000 words so I’m just going to let you enjoy a couple of the pictures and a short video from our amazing day of handmade paper crafting.
